Generated editorial imagery
Hero and supporting WebP images were generated for Surrey-BC.ca around city-guide themes such as skyline, City Centre, parks, culture and community life.
These images are editorial illustrations and should not be interpreted as documentary photographs of a specific private business or event unless explicitly identified.
Authentic photography can be added selectively
Real-location photography is valuable for places such as Crescent Beach, Green Timbers, Bear Creek Park and Museum of Surrey, but only when the usage rights are clear.
The site will not copy images from tourism, social-media or business websites without permission or an appropriate licence.
No public image uploads
Visitors and businesses cannot upload photographs or logos. This removes one of the largest copyright risks from the old directory model.
Any future third-party photograph should have its source and permission documented.
Community-guide imagery
The six Surrey community pages each use a distinct locally stored WebP illustration created for the editorial platform. These visuals are intended to distinguish the pages and convey the broad urban, residential, cultural or coastal character of the guide. They are not documentary evidence of a particular address or development.
Performance and accessibility
Images are served in responsive WebP sizes with descriptive alternate text. Hero imagery is prioritized for loading while supporting images lazy-load below the fold. Decorative imagery should not replace written directions, accessibility information or official maps.
